Random Fun

Well, the past couple days have been filled with lots of fun with great friends.  Saturday it was Aunt Jenn, Uncle Bill, and Liam.  We watched a movie, had dinner, and just relaxed the day away.  I'm pretty sure my favorite part was watching Liam get his pajamas on....the kid (4 months old!) CRACKED UP.  It was so funny and super cute :)

Ignore the spit up on the chin and it's a cute picture!
Then, yesterday we spontaneously went to Aunt Jami and Uncle Andy's house for the afternoon.  We barged in and played, ate dinner, and had a great time as always.

They got a little dirty!

Finally, today we went to the park with Jami, Reagan, and Reed.  It was a bit windy (which didn't make Conner too happy), but other than that we had a great time.  Unfortunately, no pictures of the park but I did get a couple of the boys "painting" with colored water on the deck this afternoon.  It was a gorgeous day and I'm ready for more of them!!

Home Sweet Home

Well, Andy and I enjoyed views like this for the past week:

It was a pretty spectacular vacation.  (See the rest of the photos here if you're interested!)  We saw a beautiful wedding of a wonderful friend, and it was all very memorable!

But I must say, I was very ready to get home and enjoy some of this scenery:

Which is just as beautiful :)

A Casualty

Well, I guess it was going to happen sooner or later......

Scott fell in the pond today :(  He stepped on the mud, and slipped right in.  Luckily Andy was right there and got him out as quickly as he went in.  Hopefully he's not traumatized for life!

Cupcake Making

Today we made these delicious Green Velvet Baby Cakes for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow.  Seriously...yum.  And so easy.  I'm now subscribed to this blog because of this recipe.  Just had to share!

Updates

I wanted to give some updates on what the boys are up to lately.  They're both growing so fast and I want to record these sweet things they're doing because I know it won't last forever! (Or very long at all!)

Scott can now count to four, and I love the way he counts in this sing-songy little voice.
He can also name a circle and a triangle.
Whenever he sees letters or words he says, "e, o, e, o" like he's reading.
He does this thing when you ask him if you can have some chocolate.  He puts his hands up to his mouth and pretends to eat.  He came up with this completely on his own....who knows where, except this kid definitely has a sweet tooth (and a sense of humor)!
Finally, Nana taught him to sing, "Three Blind Mice."  He sings, "Three blind mice, three blind mice," then fills in the word "run" in the next line.  It's super cute :)

Conner's latest thing is saying "I know, I know, I know" when he's told something.  He also likes to say, "Yeah, I know but..."

And here's a funny conversation we had today:
Conner: Got ya.
Mommy: You got me?
Conner: Yeah, I got ya means I know what you're talking about.
The way he emphasized each word instead of just saying "Gotcha" like the rest of us do was very cute :)

I just love watching these boys grow up!

Fat Tuesday

When I was growing up, we always went to my grandmother's house for "Roy's Pancakes," eggs, sausage, and fruit on Fat Tuesday.  We are making sure the boys have the same tradition.  We went to Nana and Pop's house for the good eats this evening.  It was a great day and night full of fun, family, and good food :)

3 cooks are better than 1 (maybe?)
Scott's ready!

Liam loves his big cousins....and they love him back!

Driving home....

Grandparents & Crazy Hair

We had a great weekend with MamMam and Paw.  They came for dinner Saturday, spent the night, and joined us for church and brunch this morning.  The boys had a blast, and the adults enjoyed catching up when the kids went to bed!  It was so fun, in fact, that I neglected to take many pictures at all :(  But here's one of Conner showing MamMam the birthday cards he and Scott had made for her:

And before bath tonight, Andy gave the boys some crazy hair!  They had some fun and thought it was quite comical :)
