A Weekend in Pictures

There was a birthday party (with really yummy cupcakes!)

And a lot of gorgeous weather that we took full advantage of...

Puddle Jumpin' & Sock Hoppin'

The boys got rain boots today when we went shopping, so I let them jump in some puddles when we got home from the store.  They had a blast, and were definitely soaking wet by the end :)

Then tonight, Conner's preschool had a sock hop.  Here's a rundown of the night.....

Conner took awhile to warm up.
Notice everyone moving in front of him and he's the only one standing still :)

Scott really enjoyed drinking the water.

Now they're having fun!

Thank goodness for brothers :)

Museum Day

We spent the day at the museum in the big city.  It was a great adventure, and the kids had a blast!  Now I'll get straight to the fun stuff....the pictures!

This is a giant millipede.  Conner loved it.   Held it twice :)

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Yes, that's right.  My kids had chocolate pancakes.  For breakfast.

I think they thought they had died and gone to heaven.

They made a bit of a mess.

And went a bit crazy.  But they loved it :)

Then Scott said he had to go pee pee, and this is what he did:

By the way, he didn't actually go pee pee, but he just looked so cute standing there like that I couldn't not take a picture and share :)

Words & Bubbles

Scott is putting 2 word phrases together more and more.  Today he said, "No nap" (go figure!) and "Bye, Jenn" (Jenn, this was as you were driving away this afternoon) among other things.  He also says "Hm mm, yeah" instead of just "Hmm mmm" or "Uh huh" for yes.  I love watching him develop!

We also played with bubbles this afternoon with Nana.  We're so glad Nana and Pop are home from their trip.  We missed them!

Shadows, Climbing, & Experimenting

We spent a little time outside late this afternoon, and Conner pointed out how long his shadow was.  It prompted a little discussion, and a picture :)

 Then he discovered tree-climbing...

And, of course you know that means Scott discovered it as well :)

Lastly, the boys did a little experiment while I was making dinner tonight.  I gave them a variety of kitchen items, and they put them in the water to see if they sank or floated.  Then, sorted them accordingly.  It kept them busy, and Conner loved it.  He may just be a science man like his dad :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a great, full day.  It included babysitting for an adorable, well-behaved baby, picnicking and cookie-making with some great friends, playing outside, and making pizzas for dinner.  I hope your Valentine's Day was as happy as ours was!

It was so nice that the kids could eat outside again!

LOVED that the kids painted the icing on the cookies.  I'm definitely doing it this way from now on!
Scott was a MESS!!  (That's an understatement!)
Finally some relief from the cold!
